Patients are cared for by appointment only. If you experience a sudden illness or injury during office hours, please contact our office, and indicate that you have an urgent condition requiring medical attention. We will either schedule an appointment for you on the same day, or refer you to the hospital emergency department. If you require same-day medical attention, please call early in the day to schedule an appointment.

For patient convenience, Norge Family Medicine offers designated in-office laboratory testing.

If hospitalization is required, our physicians will coordinate your care with a carefully selected and experienced hospital-based physician.

If you have an urgent medical need after office hours or on the weekend that requires the attention of a physician, please call our office. Our telephones are automatically transferred to our medical answering service. They will relay your message to our on-call physician.

Please request prescription refills during your regular appointment with your physician. If you find yourself without refills, please send a request through TPMG Patient Portal, or contact our office at 757-564-3700. Be sure to have your prescription bottle available when you call. We no longer accept faxed prescription refill requests from the pharmacy. If you are due for an appointment, you will need to have this scheduled before refills can be issued. Please allow 72 hours for us to process your request.

Please request referrals during your appointment and allow 1 week for us to process your request with your insurance carrier. For any questions or concerns regarding referrals, please call our office.
