TPMG Strive Fitness & Sports Performance Trainers:

Tina E. Keasey, ATC/L, CSCS

Tina E. Keasey, ATC/L, CSCS

Undergraduate: B.A. in  Exercise Science, Christopher Newport University
Certifications: NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), NATA Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
License: Virginia Board of Medicine Licensed Athletic Trainer

Tina’s love of sport and fitness began at an early age while chasing her older brother, Lee, to the gym during their summer vacations. She was determined to do everything he did, including playing basketball at Christopher Newport University (CNU).  It was during her time playing basketball for CNU that she discovered her passion for rehab and corrective fitness after suffering what many thought would be a career ending injury.  Despite the long road to recovery, Tina finished her college career as a varsity letter winner in basketball and softball.

In her final year at CNU, Tina returned to the training room to complete her internship where she worked with the team physicians and staff learning valuable skills to unlock an athlete’s physical potential.  She would later apply, and continues to use, those same skill sets to motivate and inspire clients to improve their own health and wellness. Through her own injury and by working with other athletes, Tina realized setbacks are not roadblocks to stop you or prevent you from moving forward, but are there to make you stronger and teach you how to achieve more.

Tina understands fitness and exercise can not only prevent health problems, but also improve your quality of life no matter the obstacles.  She looks forward to helping clients find the right fitness routine to fit their lifestyle, as she believes it is an integral part of living your fullest life.

Tina is a licensed and certified athletic trainer with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the Virginia Board of Medicine. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Throughout her career, she has worked with the 2001 Junior Olympics, 2003 Senior Olympics, several semi-professional soccer and basketball players, as well as NCAA track and field champions.

Tina is married to her college sweetheart, Mike, and they have 3 wonderful children.  She and her family enjoy playing sports together, traveling to the beach, and spending quality time together.
