Certified Physicians Assistant | Dermatology
Alison Grant, PA-C, earned her undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science and Biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. She then went on to receive her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Radford University in Roanoke. Alison is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA), and Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Through her many clinical rotations, Alison spent time working in dermatology where she discovered her passion for helping others feel comfortable in their own skin. She chose to pursue a career in medicine for the ability to combine her love for science as well as fulfill her desire to serve others. As the oldest of four children, nurturing is second nature to Alison. This is apparent through her philosophy of care, treating patients as if they were family to ensure they receive the highest level of care.
Alison is committed to delivering comprehensive dermatologic care, while fostering supportive relationships with her patients. With an individualized approach to patient care, she strives to deliver personalized solutions to their unique health concerns. As she grows to learn more about her patient’s condition, she takes time to actively listen understanding that our skin reveals a greater story of our health.
She treats a broad spectrum of skin conditions to include acne, eczema, psoriasis, skin cancer, as well as many other hair and nail disorders. Alison sees patients of all ages from children to adults. With a special interest in the prevention of both skin cancer and premature aging, she is a great proponent of using daily SPF protection. She looks forward to gaining more experience in Cosmetic dermatology and plans to provide Botox and filler services in the future.
In her free time, she enjoys walking at Fort Monroe, hiking, and practicing yoga. She has enjoyed growing up on the water and is happiest under an umbrella at the beach with her friends, family, and yellow Lab, Lucy.
A native to Hampton Roads, Alison looks forward to returning to her hometown as she begins her career in dermatology. TPMG Hampton Roads Center for Dermatology welcomed Alison to the practice in 2021.
