Charles A. Seager, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree from The State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY ESF) and Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. He also earned his Doctor of Medicine at The State University of New York Upstate (SUNY) and moved to the Hampton Roads area to complete his residency program.
Dr. Seager decided he wanted to pursue a career in medicine when he was a student in high school, fascinated by the complexities of science and love for people. As a family medicine physician, Dr. Seager is committed to equipping his patients with the necessary tools needed to make smart choices about their health. He takes a light-hearted approach when communicating with patients and places great importance on keeping his patients informed and reassured about their health decisions.
Dr. Seager treats a wide range of conditions including diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, lung and cardiac disease, bone and joint problems, as well as mood disorders. Dr. Seager treats a broad spectrum of ages; however, he takes a special interest in geriatric care.
Dr. Seager is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is actively involved in the local community including Williamsburg Dancing with the Stars, a collaborative fundraiser promoting community leader engagement and raising money for Big Brother Big Sisters of the Greater Virginia Peninsula and Literacy for Life charities.
In his time away from the office, Dr. Seager enjoys spending time with his pets, biking, and living a healthy lifestyle. As part of the TPMG family, Dr. Seager previously practiced at TPMG Norge Family Medicine dating back to 1996 and in 2005, he relocated his practice and opened TPMG Williamsburg Family Medicine.
