Christopher J. Ciccone, MD, FAAFP, a native of Tidewater Virginia, earned his undergraduate degree in History from Duke University and his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed an internship and residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Regional Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Ciccone is board certified in Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
An active participant in various professional organizations, Dr. Ciccone has served as a board member of the Virginia Academy of Family Medicine and as a representative of Virginia Family Physicians within the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has also served as a TPMG Board Member and is actively involved in several committees within the company.
Dr. Ciccone is an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, and serves as a family medicine preceptor for medical students. He has also volunteered as a supervising mentor for local area high school students.
In addition to acting as a consulting physician in the Division of Sports Medicine at The College of William and Mary, Dr. Ciccone volunteers his time covering James City County high school sporting events and conducting pre-participation sports physicals for James City County schools.
Dr. Ciccone has been a practicing family medicine doctor in Williamsburg, VA and in the Tidewater area since 1995. He opened TPMG Colonial Family Medicine in 2011.
