Geoffrey B. Kostiner, MD, received his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Dr. Kostiner earned his medical degree at the University of Colorado, Health Sciences Center, School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. He then completed his residency training in General Surgery and Urology at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology, Dr. Kostiner provides treatment and care for a variety of urological conditions including prostate issues, urinary incontinence, and kidney stones and has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery. In his daily practice, Dr. Kostiner strives to provide every patient with individual care and ample opportunity to discuss their questions and concerns. He believes every patient deserves their time to be helped and is guided by the principle of "one patient at a time with supreme excellence."
Drawn to the medical field by the opportunity to work with people, Dr. Kostiner enjoys how his specialty enables him to develop long-term relationships with his patients. He feels that by taking the time to get to know his patients on a deeper level, he can provide more comprehensive and individualized care to return the patient to optimal health.
An active member of the Williamsburg/James City County Medical Society, Dr. Kostiner is also a member of the Tidewater Urological Society, the American Urological Association, and a 20 plus year member of the American Medical Association. He is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Faculty Member in the Department of Surgery at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine and a Clinical Instructor at the Eastern Virginia Medical School Physician Assistant Program.
Dr. Kostiner has been in practice since 2001 and practicing in the area since 2005. Dr. Kostiner moved into his practice to its current location in the New Town area of Williamsburg in 2012.
He has privileges at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, Riverside Doctor's Surgery Center, and TPMG Endoscopy and Procedure Suite in Williamsburg.
Outside of his busy office and surgical practice, Dr. Kostiner loves spending time with his wife, two children, and two dogs, enjoying the family-friendly community offered by the Hampton Roads area.
