Jeffrey G. Blanchard, MD, received his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University-Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. He then completed his residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News. Dr. Blanchard is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and is board certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Blanchard’s love for biology and patient care is what first drew him to the medical field. He spent time as a counselor while at ODU and developed principles that he now uses in practice. Dr. Blanchard is devoted to spending time with every individual patient, giving them each distinct, personal consideration of care.
As a family medicine physician, Dr. Blanchard provides care for all ages. He enjoys the treatment and management of a variety of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. He also takes a special medical interest in the care of patients with anxiety and depression.
Dr. Blanchard grew up in the Hampton Roads area and enjoys the close proximity to Richmond, the beach, and the mountains. Outside of the office, Dr. Blanchard enjoys listening to music and anything related to baseball. He began practicing at TPMG Norge Family Medicine in 2005 and joined TPMG Williamsburg Family Medicine in 2014.
