BIOGRAPHY

Jenna Justen, PT, MPT, attended Cleveland State University in Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and her Master of Physical Therapy. In both programs, Jenna excelled academically, first graduating summa cum laude, then magna cum laude. She joins TPMG Physical Therapy in Williamsburg.

Since childhood, Jenna has had an interest in the inner workings of the human body. As she grew older, she also developed a loved for teaching. Working as a physical therapist allowed Jenna to combine the two. A large portion of physical therapy (PT) includes educating people on how their bodies work and how to improve the body before and after injury. She believes that successful results are attainable with full participation from the patient and collaboration between the patient and the PT.

Jenna treats each case like a detective might – getting to the root of the problem. She monitors patients’ progress closely, altering the course until she finds the solution to each patient’s condition.

After practicing physical therapy for over 20 years, Jenna has experience treating patients for orthopedic and spinal conditions. At TPMG Physical Therapy, she treats all age groups for orthopedic conditions such as joint injuries or surgeries, sports injuries, and arthritis. Jenna uses evidence-based research and her experience to determine the best treatment options to improve her patients’ conditions.

Living within the “Historic Triangle,” she is fascinated by the history of the area. Jenna is inspired by living and working where our Nation began. She also enjoys working with the Hampton Roads’ military population.

Jenna and her family – a husband and two middle schoolers – maintain an active life, hiking, bike riding, swimming, playing airsoft, and RVing, among other outdoor activities.

As a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving in a medical unit as a physical therapist, Jenna is, also, a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Virginia Physical Therapy Association (VPTA). She is a credentialed clinical instructor.
