In addition to obstetric care, she specializes in female reproductive health, contraception management, gynecological exams, and menopause. She enjoys the OB/GYN field of medicine for the opportunity to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and work collectively as a team to deliver the best patient care.

As a strong proponent of the midwifery care model, Dr. Cordes works closely with our certified nurse-midwifes (CNMs) to ensure patients are getting the support, knowledge, and hands-on care through the entirety of their pregnancy.
She treats a wide range of conditions including abnormal bleeding, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), endometriosis, hormonal disorders, pelvic organ prolapse, and infertility. Dr. Cordes performs various procedures including hormone replacement therapy, diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy, diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, laparoscopic hysterectomy, colposcopies, Loop Electrosurgical Excision (LEEP), and the surgical treatment of pelvic organ prolapse.
Dr. Cordes is a well-respected physician in her field and has been honored on numerous occasions as a Coastal Virginia “Top Doc” and Virginia Living Magazine “Top Doctor,” as voted for by her peers in the Hampton Roads community. Outside of the office, Dr. Cordes enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and participating in various local running events. She joined TPMG Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2005, and warmly welcomes new patients to schedule an appointment with her.
