Following her undergraduate degree, she completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. Lauren is certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Growing up, Lauren’s greatest mentor was her grandmother, a nurse, and it was her influence that drew Lauren to the medical field at a young age. She has a passion for continued learning and strives to help her patients take an active role in their health. As a physician assistant, Lauren believes educating and connecting with her patients is fundamental to providing superior patient care.
Prior to joining TPMG, Lauren gained clinical experience as a physician assistant in the field of otolaryngology, which focuses on the treatment of conditions of the ears, nose, and throat. In her role, she assisted in the management of chronic diseases, allergies, sinus conditions, ear infections, flexible nasal endoscopy, vertigo, and cerumen (earwax) removal.
Lauren is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants (VAPA).
Originally from Illinois, Lauren relocated to Hampton Roads with her husband, who is in the Air Force, and finds Virginia’s four seasons remind her of home. She and her husband enjoy all of the outdoor activities available in the area, including hiking with their yellow lab. In her spare time, Lauren likes to cook, bake, and craft.
