Lee Gotthardt, FNP-C, received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio in 2002. Following his undergraduate studies, he earned a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in family nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia in 2017. He is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
Prior to joining TPMG James River Pediatrics, Lee worked as a charge nurse in emergency departments and in outpatient renal dialysis clinics where he gained valuable experience in providing patient-focused care. Working at James River Pediatrics, he finds the most enjoyment from his daily interaction with patients and their families. As a parent himself, he understands the unique needs of pediatric patients and strives to create a fun and comfortable environment. Lee recognizes that pediatric patient care requires both patience and effective communication skills, which are fundamental aspects of his philosophy of care.
Lee resides in the Hampton Roads area with his wife and children. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family. He appreciates the rich culture and abundance of history in the area, particularly the Revolutionary and Civil War Eras, which led him to pick up the hobby of metal detecting for historical artifacts. He joined James River Pediatrics in Newport News in 2017.
