Furthering her education, she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. For nearly a decade, she has served as a practicing physical therapist.

When she was in high school, Mary Beth played basketball, soccer and ran track, where she sustained multiple injuries that required physical therapy The most debilitating injury was a patella fracture that kept her in physical therapy for several months. Though her injury and rehabilitation were difficult, Mary Beth always enjoyed her time in physical therapy and her positive experience inspired her career choice.

While maintaining a clear and open line of communication, Mary Beth strives to make her patients feel comfortable coming to therapy and enjoying their road to recovery. In order to ensure her patients understand the rehab process and enjoy their experience in physical therapy, Mary Beth takes time to explain all aspects of their tailored plan. She is adamant that her patients reach their full potential and meet their personal goals.

Mary Beth treats those with orthopedic injuries, balance impairments and sports medicine patients. She has a unique medical interest in treatments for the spine. Although spinal issues can often be challenging to treat due to the numerous ways the symptoms present themselves, she enjoys the problem-solving process. She has focused her continuing educating on manual therapy techniques and loves to incorporate a hands on approach with the majority of her patients.

Mary Beth has served as a clinical instructor for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants where she enjoys helping the future clinicians enhance their skills and increase their knowledge. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

When she isn’t seeing patients, Mary Beth enjoys spending time with family and friends, chasing her little boy around, going to the beach, jogging and cheering on the Hampton University Pirates’ football team where her husband coaches.
