Megan L. Buckley, PT, DPT, MS, received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from The George Washington University in 1997, and pursued her Master of Science of Physical Therapy in 2000, along with her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2006 at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia.
Megan brings years of experience in orthopedics and helping patients return to an active lifestyle. She enjoys getting to know her patients and developing relationships with them over the course of their treatment. After nearly 20 years of practicing physical therapy, Megan continues to find joy working alongside her patients to help them achieve their goals. Her special interests include spine treatment and post-operative conditions.
Megan is certified through the McKenzie Institute in the McKenzie Method. This method involves educating patients in back, neck, and extremity problems and the use of spinal rehabilitation to reduce and eliminate pain. Through active patient treatment, the focus is on prevention in order to reduce the dependency on medical intervention.
As a former gymnast, Megan understands both the benefits and consequences sports can have on the human body. Megan provides an individualized, comprehensive plan of care to her patients, as well as education and treatment in a warm and compassionate style.
Outside of the clinic, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her family and is actively involved in her children’s sports and activities.
Megan joined TPMG Physical Therapy in Williamsburg in September of 2013.
