Phillip A. “Archie” Hoyt Jr., MD, earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his residency training through the Medical College of Virginia at RRMC. Upon completing his training, Dr. Hoyt joined Dr. Guardia in private practice at The Doctors Clinic Ltd. to provide complete family medicine care to include wellness visits, acute care, minor surgical procedures, and management of chronic conditions.
Throughout his many years in practice, Dr. Hoyt has devoted his time to sharing his experience and knowledge with the next generation of medical professionals. As a preceptor for medical students studying at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in Richmond and the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Dr. Hoyt has not only enjoyed passing on the wealth of medical knowledge gained in over 25 years in practice, but the opportunity it affords to learn from the next generation. Through teaching, he hopes to pass on what he considers the art of medicine, focusing on bedside manner, compassion, and treating all aspects of the human condition.
Following a dedicated and successful career in private practice at The Doctors Clinic Ltd., Dr. Hoyt looks forward to the opportunity to work alongside his colleagues within TPMG, including his daughter, Dr. Laurie Harris and son-in-law, Dr. Jeffery Harris to continue serving Hampton and the surrounding communities
