Pranav Parikh, MD, earned his undergraduate degree from Temple University and his Doctor of Medicine at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Parikh is board certified in Internal Medicine.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Parikh is dedicated to providing education for both his patients and their families on preventive care to encourage active, healthy lifestyles. Dr. Parikh focuses on each patient as a whole, emphasizing the importance of good nutrition, exercise, and cardiovascular care.
In addition to his daily clinical practice, Dr. Parikh is a hospitalist at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, and he has admitting privileges at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center, conveniently located on the same campus as his office, TPMG Williamsburg Internal Medicine, enabling him to provide continuing care to his patients who have been admitted to the hospital.
Dr. Parikh enjoys providing complete care to his patients throughout the lifespan as a primary care internal medicine physician. It is for this reason that he made the decision to pursue this specialty branch of medicine, as it enables him to build long-term relationship with his patients.
In addition to his work in the hospital setting, Dr. Parikh is the current medical director of WindsorMeade, a continuing care retirement community in Williamsburg, as well as a hospice physician providing palliative care to patients in the final stage of the lifespan.
Dr. Parikh has been practicing in the Williamsburg area since 2004, and joined TPMG Williamsburg Internal Medicine in 2006. He credits a warm, collegial working relationship with fellow physicians in practice, Dr. Kent Marcuson and Dr. Patricia Marcuson, as well as the Williamsburg community for drawing him to the area and he looks forward to continuing to serving the community for years to come.
