Samuel Holloway, PA-C, earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Sciences at Ferrum College in Ferrum. Following his undergraduate degree, he went on to earn his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. Samuel is board certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He gained extensive experience in various clinical settings, such as internal medicine and emergency medicine. Before joining TPMG City Center Family Medicine, Samuel worked with the TPMG Hospitalist Division at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
Samuel pursued a career in medicine with the desire of helping people and serving the community. As a physician assistant (PA), he aims to provide continuity of care. Practicing in family medicine allows him to build long-lasting relationships with his patients. Samuel prefers his patient relationships be both personal and medical. He enjoys providing patient care and learning about their lives outside of the office. This builds trust so the patients will trust his recommendations and management.
To Samuel, delivering quality medical care is fundamental. He treats patients of all ages for a variety of chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, and dementia. Of these conditions, hypertension is especially important to him as it is known to be the “silent killer.” Because hypertension can be recorded and monitored, Samuel can manage this condition with his patients and share their satisfaction throughout the process. Apart from chronic conditions, he has a special interest in weight management through diet and exercise.
Living in the Hampton Roads area, Samuel enjoys traveling throughout the different cities, especially Norfolk. Samuel loves surfing, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with his wife, Katie, and their dog, Quinn. Samuel warmly welcomes new patients to contact the office to reserve an appointment with him.
